Hosting a Public Forsaken Roleplay Event Tomorrow

Who: My Forsaken Roleplaying Guild, The Scythe of Sylvanas.
What: We're roleplaying being quest givers and handing out free gear, bags and gold as rewards.
When: 7:00pm PST, and continuing late into the night.
Where: Deathknell, the Forsaken starting zone on Wyrmrest Accord. If you a roll a new undead character, you'll see us and loads of other people.
Why: We're not seeing much Forsaken roleplay outside of our guild on Wyrmrest these days, so we'd like to offer people the opportunity to try it out.

If you can't make it, or don't have an interest in making a character but would still like to watch I'm going to be hosting a live stream of the event here. I'll be answering questions from the chat channel during the stream, so if you've ever wanted to know anything about my guild, the blog, or Forsaken lore this is a great opportunity.

In-Character Details:

The Scythe of Sylvanas - a unit on the fringes of the Forsaken military that specializes in training and unglamorous 'odd jobs' - has decided to share some of the wealth from their coffers and offer equipment, bags and gold to those recently risen by the Val'kyr. Not wanting to appear too charitable, they have decided to give their spoils to the freshly risen in exchange for the completion of various small tasks; tasks like: having the newly risen demonstrate their abilities on the nearby training dummies, escorting members of the Scythe down steep hills, dissecting the mindless, swearing oaths to the Dark Lady, ect. This also gives the members of the Scythe the opportunity to spread a few recruitment flyers around and to keep an eye out for promising recruits.

More information after the break, hope to see you there!

We're not seeing much Forsaken roleplay outside of our guild on Wyrmrest these days, so we'd like to offer people the opportunity to try it out - and maybe the 'head start' incentives like gear and bags will encourage people to continue to level the character they made for the event and possibly even to carry on and roleplay with it. Forsaken roleplay is interesting right away, and you can have a lot of fun exploring how your character reacts to their first moments after they've been risen by the Val'kyr. It also gives you the chance to bounce your character concept off other players in-character right away, or just come up with a character concept spontaneously and see where the roleplay leads you.

We're asking that everyone please be respectful of the roleplay environment we're trying to create and only join us on their Forsaken characters. Once again, if you're unable to attend on a Forsaken character, or just want to observe - please watch the live stream. It's much more polite than just standing around ogling on an idle character and, by watching the stream, you won't contribute to the confusion we sometimes experience when running events like this, thus making the experience better for all. What's more, I'll be on the live stream talking with the chat channel and answering any questions you might have about the Scythe, Forsaken lore, or what's currently going on with the event.

The event will start at 7:00pm PST, but we'll be there long after giving out quests and rewards. You can make a new Forsaken any time after that and come through and get your quests, roleplay and gear. Our guild members have been farming hard for weeks to collect roughly five guild bank tabs worth of items to give out. We actually had to make another guild just so we could store everything in the bank tabs. We will not run out of goodies to give away, so come whenever it's convenient for you.

When you create your new Forsaken character and join the game after the opening cinematic you should see our members nearby. We try to distinguish ourselves with smoke flares, fireworks, and Undercity banners. We also have a few members of our guild specifically tasked with waving down new characters and directing them to us; so, odds are someone will find you and show you where to go. We'll also have members in general chat answering questions for people out of character. Because things can get busy and lot of people are roleplaying, it helps if you expand your chat window so you don't miss anything directed at you.
